GSM-Roaming Welcome System
G-RWS
The TTG GSM-Roaming Welcome System (G-RWS) offers you a simple efficient way of looking after international roamers. It lets you send short messages to selected groups of customers. Providing them with useful local information. The goodwill and visibility achieved by your network will translate into greater customer loyalty, increased profit potential and a stronger market position.
Key Features:
· Notification messages to both in Roamers and out Roamers
System detects the type of roamer and customizes the notification.
· Flexible configuration of notification content sent to the subscriber
The message content depends on the system configuration and can be customized for every visited network. If there is no customization for a specific network then global configuration takes effect. In addition to subscriber greeting, SMS notification may contain any useful information: dialing instructions, currency exchange rate, weather forecast, automatic services dial-up numbers, etc.
· Limiting the number of notifications sent to a subscriber
Limitation of sending message after a configurable number of location updates
in the network in a configurable time period. Repeated notifications can be excluded if subscriber moves through several countries in a shout period.
· Repeated notifications
The system can send repeated notifications if subscriber stays longer in a visited network. The interval and content of notification is configurable.
· Operator Black listing
The system will not send notifications to the in Roamers of operators in black list. This is a subject of agreement between operators.
· Registration statistics
Statistics on both in Roamers and out Roamers are stored in the database.
How G-RWS operates
The G-RWS operates in two modes. It can send messages to:
• Foreign subscribers roaming in a GSM operator’s network.
• An operator’s subscribers roaming in a foreign operator’s network.
Customer movements are captured in real time via SS7 probe, allowing the G-RWS to detect the existence of a new inbound or outbound roamer. The one who has not been in the network for a defined period of time. It then sends a customer, defined group of configured SMS messages to each new roamer detected. The G-RWS assumes the customer has left the PLMN when no activity has been detected for another defined period of time and stops sending messages. Customers returning to the network after this time interval are treated as new roamers and the message sending cycle starts.
Configuring messages
G-RWS provides an easy to use GUI configuration tool to set up messages and specify other configurable information.
Generating Statistical Data
G-RWS collects information on inbound and outbound roamer movements and services and provides reports on;
· Historical Roamer Activity
· Historical Roamer Log
· Message Usage Counters
